help an ex canadian who misses home.

I see major problems here. 1) Doing something illegal is never recommanded, first of all. If you lose your PR, thenyou have to apply for it again. As simple as that. 2) It's not only a matter of working : you also need a bunch if ID as a PR, including a driver license, an health card etc. How...

    Canadian temporary visitor visa!

Hi, I went through the sponsorship to get my PR, so don't hesitate if you have questions ! Your wife may not need an interview, and even though, she can be interviewed in Chinese. The only thing they bug you with is the fact that if she doesn't speak English, and you don't speak Chinese how...

    visitor visa ?

Just saying but... Even if "you arranged to get married", you will have to build a strong application to get your permanent resident ans show that your relationship is strong etc. You'll have to provide lots of documents supporting your claim. Just getting married won't give you any visa right.

help an ex canadian who misses home.

I'm not sure I understand. What is your country of citizenship now ? Which Canadian paperworks do you have ? SIN card ? Health Card ? Permanent Resident card ? Passport ? To remain a permanent resident, you have to be in Canada 2 years out of 5 (or is it 3 ? Forgot !). Your permanent resident...

Need help in sponsoring undeclared son to Canada.

It's true that it's gonna be very difficult to sponsor someone who wasn't on the documents in a first place. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you, my best guess is you will have to explain the CIC why you didn't include your son.

    getting a job in Canada

The best advice I could give you would be to come here for a visit, networking etc. Thaiguy is right, you won't be offered a job if the employer has never seen you ! Do you know where you'll be living or are you flexible ? You could look for more locals ads if you have an idea about your...

Marriage with canadian resident - visa change

Where are you from ? If she doesn't need a visa, no problem, she can come back to Canada with you and even maybe apply for PR from Canada. If she does need a visa (visitor visa) to enter Canada, she might not get it, on the ground that she might not have sufficient ties to prove she'll go back...

    Immigration..policies

For what you can or can't bring in the plane, I'd suggest to visit the airline website. They usually have a list with their policies. As for your friend, I'm not sure.... It also depends where he's from I guess, whether he needs a visa to enter Canada etc.

How much time is taken as reasonable for processing PR application?

Yes, it can be long. I was lucky to get my PR really quick, but I've heard of people waiting for 1 or 2 yrs. I'm not familiar with the process in Dehli but I wonder why they need to keep the passports - I only sent mine when I got the visa approved !

    spouse sponsorship

Hi PRS, I was sponsored by my husband too, so let me try to help. No, I don't think it does matter. Actually, I'm married too and I kept my maiden name. It has never been a problem for the CIC when we've done the paperwork. Sorry I'm not American so can't help with the security clearance...
