Yeah sadly most of us haven’t had any recent updates to share, but thank you for sharing yours! It’s good to see there is still some movement on applications.

Yes I got the AOR/Biometrics request in May and my estimated completion date was May 24th. No news since then. I still have a year left of my program so will probably just go the PGWP route if this application doesn’t start moving soon.

I applied from within Canada, as I was already living up here on an open work permit since 2019 (applied for from the U.S). After that expired I stayed in visitor status for awhile during the worst of covid and then applied for a study permit also from within Canada in 2021 which was granted...

Me neither, not since getting AOR and submitting biometrics in May.

I got temp AOR January 2021 and permanent AOR/biometrics in May 2023. No updates since.

I submitted my biometrics over 2 months ago and also have received no update on the online portal. I was also checking daily the first month after giving them for an update but now I only check about once a week since nothing ever changes it seems like it takes another 4-5 months to receive...

So sorry to hear that! And so strange they made you pay the RPRF only to then refuse your application, makes no sense. Did they provide you with a reason why you were not found eligible?

Unbelievable! Just when I thought things were starting to speed up. I guess all we can do is wait and hope it’s all worth it in the end!

Ah good to know! I was going to send one but definitely not worth it if it’s going to take them that long to respond. Yeah I had hoped things would start to move along faster now as well, it’s getting pretty frustrating at this point :(

I had the same issue, “it says something went wrong” and that either the server is down or the website is undergoing maintenance so I wouldn’t worry about it! What’s your timeline so far, when did you apply and receive AOR etc? :)

Yay the processing time has just decreased from 46 to 45 months! Gotta celebrate those small wins :)

Thank you! I knew the completion bar part was inaccurate & that people were getting messages about applications taking longer to process than usual, but the part about “20% of applications being more complex” was what got me a bit worried haha
