Sad Girl, I am sorry to hear you are still waiting, but I had to pipe in and say that your visa office is actually quite faster than MANY other offices, and that there is a larger number of staff at that visa office to process applications. Mandatory military is still military, and it can delay...

One thing to add to what ariell has said is that this couple must be careful to not mis-represent themselves on their visitor visa either. as things will be scrutinized upon application of the PR sponsorship, and anything CIC sees as a misrepresentation or non-truth would put that PR application...

More than that, just put the fax number, and indicate that it is a fax.....problem solved.

AS a PR, you cannot travel outside of Canada without a Valid Travel Document. If you do not have your PR Card, then you must obtain a Travel Document from the CIC, search Travel Docs...{http://www.ci.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp) - this is for ppl applying outside of Canada...

strange I just posted a long response to you..but it did not post in a nut shell if a person applies for sponsorship inland, and gets AIP [approval in principle] they can apply for a work permit, and because they are in CAnada, working, and paying taxes etc.. they are eligible for health...

Hi Misria, thanks for your well wishes. Yes, thanks to God he is doing well. YOu asked about the health card, and htat will not come until Dec. 1. PR card should be here soon...he has id, sin, library, bank etc.. these cards are what I was speaking of. Good luck in your case, and hope it goes...

We got our photos and some things (cards, tickets etc) back when they returned my husband's passport with his visa and COPR. [at the very end of the approval process]
