Agreed with you!!! They are just taking their own sweet times!!! I was just wondering how they would access our application during the first initial review. Can someone share some lights?

Looks like many of us having the same timeline. I applied in July 2013 and SVO received in Aug 2013. Still no news from them. The follow up with our MP is also due soon and hopefully they will have some good news for us. Fingers crossed! ::)

I had my medical done at this clinic. I contacted them after 1 week to collect the upfront medical notification and enclosed it to my application package. The clinic will submit the medical report details directly to CIC. My ecas showed both application and medical report received at the same...

First of all, congrats to maronvomra's wife for getting the passport request in 6 months later. It is indeed incredible that this officer processed it that fast. How I wish my application is processed by the same officer! ;D I believe this greatly depends who the officer is being assigned to!

Anybody applied in July 2013 already got a reply from SVO requesting for passport? I assumed we start counting from the AOR date..... Please correct me if I got it wrong. Much appreciated.

I had seen someone from Singapore who got the PR in 6 months. Btw, I have not submitted my police cert yet as I believe CIC will inform about it.

Gosh, this is nightmare! I am not sure if we should send an email to CIC to check on the application status. Like I mentioned my husband spoke with his local MP and they said CIC recommended them to do a follow up after 4mths which due in June 2014. Any advice?

Yes, sadly to say this. :( I have been waited for more than 9 months now and moreover my medical report already passed 1 year. I would expect to do health check again. :-[

My husband spoke to his MP in person in Feb 2014 and their action was pretty quick. MP contacted CIC the next few days to find out my application status. CIC commented that my application remains in queue for initial review and recommended him to do a follow up after 4 months.
