Thats great news! At least we know they are giving out the visas. Once you got your passport request letter, how And when did you send it to turkey And how long did it take them to send you back the passport with the visa in it?

The worst part of this all is living in uncertainty for such long time and not getting any updates that is actually worth while. emails get responded to with generic responses, almost all calls send you to their voice mails, even if you are able to talk to anyone, you get the same generic...

So far some of us have gotten our pre-arrival letters but, Pasifico, it seems like you are ahead of everyone else here, waiting on your passport to come back to you with the visa. So any movement on your case would be also good news to the rest of us. I wonder if Ankara would give back the...

So pretty much the same useless info that is already available on the website. May I ask when did they do the inquiry for you? Also what stage of the process are you on currently (pre-arrival letter, passport request, etc.)?

sent a message through webform yesterday, and got an automatic reply back, right away, saying applications are on hold. same sort of message they have been sending out for the past few months

What did you respond to the following question, on the webform? "Is your application being processed by an office OUTSIDE Canada? " With my experience, If you answer yes to this question, it sends your question to that embassy (for example Ankara in my case). Every time I do this, i get the same...

yea, we thought we would get ours in 4/5 months, but here we are waiting over a year. At least I hope that the pre-arrival letter means no additional requests for another medical and/or police certificate.

Pre-arrival letter is not the issue. They have started giving those out starting July 1st. The issue is getting the passport request letter for the visa, which seems like no one has been getting for the past a few months.

Yea, this is what they have been responding with, to everyone, for the past few months. I am not sure what that really means, when they are actually giving out pre-arrival letters. The whole thing is really vague. Who knows what they are doing. Frustrating!!

From the sounds of it, they are slowly processing paper based PR applications. we got our pre-arrival on July 1st. I new a few others here who also did.

I really hope they get to these applications (specially with one year being passed) before countries start shutting down travels, with this 2nd hit of the COVID.
