Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hi singhraminer, Regarding your points - i'm in a similiar boat, New Delhi office. My parents get their medical today. I know the doc submits the report. Regarding the PCC and other docs - where did you submit them? We originally got a letter from the New Delhi visa office asking for the PCC and...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

If you scroll to earlier pages on this forum I've cut and paste what exactly their email asked for. no photos. we got the medical request soon after. I've decided to re-do the medicals even though the supervise medical is 5 weeks old. as for address to send it to, I'm going to send it to...

Want to Marry an American and live in Canada - What's the process?

Hi Rinner, I'm in a similar boat. I'm Canadian(PR) and my wife is a US citizen. We married in Jan 2016. Since then we have been doing the long distance thing. My advice is this: 1. gather tons of documents - start with getting your American spouse to apply for a FBI clearance. This is the...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Have you ever considered that perhaps, just perhaps that it isn't too early in the process... we do have a new government. and hence a new immigration ministry. They were able to process the applications of 25000 Syrian refugees. And anyway, even if it is too early, it is not our prerogative to...

Parent Sponsorship 2016 - Medical Requested

Hi Cavin, Thanks for that post. I tried calling the CIC today but got buried in options and more tele-options and never got through to an agent. Which number is your mom using? Lastly, do you have an address to send the requested documents to?

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

yo man, are you sure its 490 per person? cos the online payment section asks for how many applications, 1 application is 490. The principal applicant being my dad and my mom being his dependant. Can anyone else clarify this RPRF(landing fee) ---> 490 for the set of parents or 980?

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I just checked the application package again.. The RPRF(landing fee) is 490 CAD and is separate from the processing fee we paid with the application. So we just pay it using the original payment form to Mississauga office I guess.. And I'm unclear if it is 490 per person or 490 for both parents.

Parent Sponsorship 2016 - Medical Requested

Hi cavin/mhievalencia The website states that the medicals are valid for one year. The doctors office states that the medical exam for supervise and PR is the same really. Yes the IME number and file numbers are different. My parents had their supervisa medical done 6 weeks ago, it costs money...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

guys - some clarity needed. I was under the assumption that the RPRF(landing fee) was the amount paid along with the initial PR application - I see have I been incorrect. This is a different fee from the processing fee? Second, for most of the forum members here, a lot of us have the email...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hi jhutti, I note your point. However, I'm not fighting.. I'l send the receipts of the supervisa medical done 4-5 weeks ago and trust that it's still on the CIC database and then wait to hear from them if this is inadequate. In addition, I have emailed the New Delhi office asking for...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

another member suggested that it won't be needed... only receipts(of the supervisa medical) should be sent. so i'l stop flogging this dead horse.

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hi Thinktriplets... I agree with your point about CIC uploading the medical exam(this is done by the doctors) - however let me ask, if this is so, and my parents had their medical for supervisa and xrays and all that done 5 weeks ago... do we still need to re-do the medical now?

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

No, this isn't clarified either. So I've sent an email to the Delhi office asking for clarity on address. Will update you if they reply. If not, I'l send it to Mississauga office quoting the file number as reference.
