To be honest I don't know the answer to this excellent question. I will also make some research, but I believe that most (if not all) the committees were dominated by Conservatives.
If you want a good overview of how it may work for C-6, take a look at how C-14 was handled :

There was a time pressure on this Bill, amendements were voted at the Committee, it went to the HoC which accepted or refused...
Hi Dpenabill - long time no talk!
Here's the link of the stories :

We don't imply that this technicality shouldn't be adressed. Some of my family members were heavily penalized through the new clause. It's just that the focus shouldn't be on this (relatively) short term issue. If you plan to keep your original citizenship or can't get rid of it, why should you...
Not really now, at least on paper. We are in a hybrid step now where Partisanship and Independence are trying to live together. The final aim would be to have a partisan House of Commons and a regional Senate.
True.
Distinction between citizens by origin (Jus Sanguini) and naturalized citizens (when it's even possible to be one) is very wide and aggressive in most third world countries.
Thank you marcher. Happy New Year to you too.
You are right, the revocation safeguards amendment will pass because it results from a collaboration between Minister McCallum, Senator Omidvar and MP Kwan. The other radical amendments that the Cons want to introduce don't stand a chance as the HoC...
Thanks a lot for this helpful article.
To all those who apprehend any major amendments, I quote this :
"Because we are appointed, that authority has been restrained, self-restrained. And I think that's appropriate," he said.
That's very interesting.
Presented like that, you are perfectly right. I think the focus, in that case, should be on the Liberal and ISG Senators of the Committee, Minister McCallum and PM Trudeau. The rest of MPs is powerless, and the Cons worthless...
Sorry, but harassment is not an option either. Emailing Senator Lang everyday will not change his (very narrow) mind about the Bill.
The Bill already has the appropriate priority on the Hill, which is proportional to the interest of the Canadian people.
To HSD:
Well it was a whole discussion around citizenship revocation (core element of C-6) that was somewhat constructive, despite extreme views on each side. I believe that it would have helped other members to eventually grasp the drivers behind that clause.
To the person who deleted that...
Please don't be offended. We are all discussing and exchanging in a public platform and we just expressed our views regarding your question, as witnesses of that public exchange.
I think that what the husband did shouldn't be the point ... But rather how serious his deportation order is...
And obviously, for privacy reasons, this question shouldn't be asked.
