Hey Parajuliro, Would you please share your timeline? All options are possible, however I think we cant make any conclusion on the cap yet because if it was, a lot of us would have got our apps by now. And no need for cic to keep a hold of our applications. There are ppl in this conversation...

Hi Sammoham, Dont worry. They told me the same thing. Even the officer ask what courier did I send my app with and what was the tracking number! For some reason they have put all PhD applications aside for now and havent opened any. Cheers!

Yes I calked cic and they told me the same thing, we have no information on your app and it has jot been retutned, wait atleast another two weeks.... So I totaly agree with doc-mady, if it was capped we would have apps returned by now but since no one after Dec1 has heard back is a good sign!

I called and they gave me the exact same stuff they did before. You sent your app earlier, did you try calling?

this is getting a bit confusing for me. Your app was received on the 16th, If the over cap had reached then how come people up to Dec 29th got charged?

An EE profile has absolutely no negative effect on our current application. It's just that our points without job offer is low ;) but what's to loose!

That's what I was thinking of today, opening an EE profile wouldn't hurt! But since most of us don't have a job offer it might be better to finish the degree and apply as provincial nominee (safest way!)

The last person in Phd category that got charged was Dec 1 applicant and got charged Feb 4th and received his PER Feb 18. So its been a month since the last charge, I guess we all know what that means! :(

Any one have any updates? It seems like charging for other NOCs has also slowed down.

I also think it is capped :( there is no other reason for cic to stop charging after dec1. I just wish they were more clear and gave a good response when people call.

Its the same for all applicants after Dec1. I'm starting to have serious concerns
