I had the same issue with my passport. Got it reissued and it takes only a month or you can also try tatkal in which case you get it in a weeks time.

HI All, I submitted my medicals in September and till now am waiting. The only document left was FBI clearance certificated which i submitted on Jan 1 2015. Since then the wait. Does anyone know if the background and criminality check happens before MR or after MR.

Very userful info adisu and rvp. Do you guys mean to say that VO officer will send for further screening even after they receive PCC for resp country only if he suspects something adverse? OR is has to happen compulsarily for all applicants? Appreciate your response.

Hi Brother, Just curious to know whats the point of submitting PCC Indian and US if criminality checks have to be done seperately by VO? This way they will take ages to make decision for us. I submitted my US PCC after a long wait already from FBI and now if they start doing crininality checks...
