Why did you submit your application with Canada Post? What immigration stream did you apply with? For Express Entry, everything is done online. You would not have been able to apply unless you had an account with CIC to create and submit your EE profile, receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)...

That sucks. 20 days is nothing. Did you receive a ghost mail before the request? I'm kinda worried they'll ask for FBI Clearance from me, too since I traveled quite extensively in the US over the past few years (never longer than 3 months though). I already applied for one in January, though.

Maybe they thought April 1st wasn't the best of days to send official emails, whether good or bad.

Thank you for the tip. I have been checking several times - no new messages, neither in MyCIC, nor in my inbox. It no longer says "updated", either; went back to "submitted" after I checked the first time.

I just logged into MyCIC to find that under Details for my PR application it said Updated (instead of Submitted). When I checked the status, no changes though. Is that the equivalent of the mysterious ghost email? By the way, my preferred communication tool is MyCIC (rather than Email). Maybe...

Nationality does have an impact on processing times in that different visa offices have different work loads and thus different processing times. Also, background / security checks may depend on the responsiveness of agencies in different countries. So again, nationality (and travel history)...

I ordered GCMS notes on December 15 (received sometime in February) and my application was also assigned to VF03143 with a due date of January 9, 2016. Under Assessments, my medical is passed, criminality in progress, security and eligibility not started. I haven't ordered a second set of GCMS...

At least you are receiving your notes, drkv78. ;) I applied for my notes on December 14 via GCMSNow. Followed up after 40 days. They CCed me on their follow-up email to CIC last Friday. Since then nothing. I hope I don't have to wait another 40 days until CIC reacts to the follow-up email...
