The re-medical thingis not done that quickly. Several posters on this board have sent back their remedicals and not received passport for 2 months.

I think the past 2 weeks have gone according to a message board poster that said things would slow down until May 25th and pick up again afterwards. He obviously had some inside information.

Just says medical not remedicals.

Precendent shows they'll call you nearing the medical expiry date and ask if you can fly out before it.

Seems a lot of people (including my spouse) got the chest x-ray thing. Is there a tuberculosis outbreak happening in India???

Sorry did not realize it was so expensive for 1-way. Nippon goes to Vancouver first right?? So immigration for your spouse there??? I guess only concern is unloading luggage and rechecking?

I'm also in Alberta. I guess you're in Calgary? My suggestion: Delhi to Frankfurt to Calgary. Flew it a couple of years back and it was excellent all around.

You're probably in the same boat as me. I applied in July and got "in process" in mid-April with immediate request for remedical. I'm still waiting as its been 5 weeks, although the average time is supposedly 6-8 weeks. I would guess you'll get in process in the next week or so with request...

Really? Wow. Please give your other details....when did you apply? When did they request passport? Was their re-medical? From reading through this thread, it seems the longest time period from in process to decision made is 2-1/2 months....in your case its already been 5????

It's not a simple case of just fraud. One person committed suicide last year and another is missing and suspected of suicide as well becuase they were frauded. CIC is also protecting Canadians by doing an extensive review of all incoming people. Like I said, the timeline is WAY too long and...

In reality, I don't blame the Delhi office. It's fraudsters who have taken advantage of the system and led to Minister Kenney clamping down on who and how people enter the country. With life in general, honest people get screwed thanks to the actions of these fraudsters.

Mid February 2014. we made the mistake of doing the medical before gathering all other documents....took a while to obtain birth certificate.
