    Police Clearance for Citizenship Application

I misunderstood so I actually ticked "no" in that question although I do have a PCC ready. After I received my AOR, I uploaded a new form via the webform and changed my answer to yes with explanation that I will submit a PCC if needed. They didn't request the PCC after nor do they ask for it...

    Police Clearance for Citizenship Application

In my case I didn’t submit a PCC. My eligibility period was Oct 2012- Oct 2017. I landed July 2014 as PR so from Oct 2012- July 2014 I was in my home country then. My status is now Decision Made.

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Yes I get that. I was just wondering if this is a normal occurence in Winnipeg that’s why I asked where you applied because I’m making a theory. Lol. Just like in Calgary they generally receive emails for test invites but in Winnipeg we receive it by post so I’m figuring out how the local...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

That’s odd because in my case I saw the test invite in ecas before I got it in the mail and I didn’t receive an email. I guess it differs then for every applicant. Are you from winnipeg too? Edit: I just saw your pic so I guess you apllied in Alberta.

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Hi @Spelling19 in your case did you see the ecas update about your oath before you receive the letter in the mail? I’m just concerned that it might not update in ecas first before I get the oath invitation by mail since I can’t check my mail regularly. This happened to me when they needed...

Police Certificate Requirement on Applications after Oct 2017

Yes. I only made 4 trips in my eligibility period. You don't have to add the addresses in the form for short trips.

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Congratulations! This is disappointing for Winnipeg but I'm glad your journey is over. Just have a few questions: Did you get any response to your complain as to why it took that long to schedule you for Oath? Did you also see an update in ECAS about your scheduled oath before receiving the...

Police Certificate Requirement on Applications after Oct 2017

I marked No at first. Then when I received my AOR I updated my form via the webform and uploaded a new form and marked Yes in that question and added an explanation that I was not a PR at that time and if they still need a police clearance I'll send it to them. After that I got a letter...

Citizenship test: is it really so easy?

I find it odd too. I was actually thinking of reminding him to check my IELTS lol. The officer was nice and chatty so I guess he just based my english proficiency by the short interview.

Citizenship test: is it really so easy?

In my case the officer didn’t check my IELTS but he did check the original of the IDs I sent (health card, licence, pr card and copr). The interview probably took 5 mins only.

Citizenship test: is it really so easy?

No, nothing. Questions were all general facts about Canada. Some were true or false. Just read the book twice or thrice and you’ll be fine. My office is in Winnipeg

Citizenship test: is it really so easy?

I took the test today. I find it easy and kind of disappointed with the amount of time I wasted studying. Lol. The facts that I thought that were not important and did not memorize by heart were actually part of the questions. And it’s true that the practice tests online are harder than the...

Check for these signatory for application send for citizenship.

Naming people who signs off the application is not necessary. As long as you know your package was delivered to the correct address that's all that matters. Many people including myself send their applications without requesting for signature and I'm scheduled to take the test next week. It's...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

I didn’t receive any email. I just checked my ecas and it shows the last line about the test. Yes I made some mistakes and corrected via the webform. I landed as PR and prior to that I was living in my home country. I did not attach a Police certificate so I told them through the webform if...
