It depends on case to case, I got a request for passport submission in 20 days but there are many who didn't receive a reply even after 2 months.

I didn't have any property as well. So my consultant advised me to give letters from family saying they're expecting me to come back, a good SOP & a document of job listings in India (these listings showed how I need a PhD for becoming a professor in India). Hope it helps!

My documents had reached them on the 29th of May & I received the CAQ approval email on the 5th of July. As someone mentioned above, it's taking them 25-26 working days. The lady at the CAQ office was kind enough to even tell me all their vacation days
