Also, Alberta here and when I have gone and spoken with the people at the registry regarding my partner's visa, they have always said he can't do it without a SIN or T-SIN, which he cannot get on implied status. My partner's friends are all telling him that if I call the CIC call centre and...

Based on your timeline, you file should be in Mississauga. Did you move after you applied? The letter might have been sent to the old address if that's the case. You can order your notes, which will tell you if your file is in Mississauga.

Application day twins. My husband woke up today and said that today was his one year immigration-versary. So sad, so frustrating. I don't know if I would put any weight on what the people at the call centre said. I'm starting to feel like three months is a conservative estimate. I just want to...

My partner doesn't have AHC though. We were told that he couldn't get it without a SIN - he just has implied status and we're common law. Was ther person I spoke to wrong? Has anyone here got AHC with implied status as common law? If so, how do we go about it?

My partner is covered by Manulife on my work benefits and does not have provincial coverage. I asked both the Manulife reps who gave a presentation at my work and I called and asked as well. They all said they would cover him for the plan, but they do not cover him for anything that Alberta...

We have AOR and we also have a letter saying his OWP won't be processed until he gets AIP. I don't know if that would count.

A lot of people are common-law, not married. Also, can you get this if you don't have an extension, just implied status? I spoke with many people here in AB about that and I do not think there is a way for my partner to get and AHC card.

Congrats RRSWeet! Finally some good news! I am happy for you, but I need some support because I'm having a really hard time staying positive. It is so disheartening for the timeline to go backwards. I just feel like crying. Like many of you we are really feeling the strain of being a single...

Landing interviews are super brief: 1. Have you been convicted of any crimes not included in your application? 2. Have you been refused entry to Canada? 3. Do you have any dependants not listed in your application? and to the sponsor: 1. Do you accept to sponsor this person? I think those...

Given the slow progress, you might be better off applying outland. Does anyone know how long it takes for US outland at the moment? It's hard to say because there's always that hope that things will speed up, but it hasn't been that way in months.

So, after sending the email, I got an immediate response (20 mins later) from someone in the Ottawa office saying that they would personally follow up with the Edmonton office to make sure that someone communicates with me. Looking at the spreadsheet you received DM in January. What's your landing office? The most anyone on the spreadsheet who has landed has had to wait has been 100 days, and you've been almost double that. Are you in the regular stream or were you red flagged? I'm also confused as to how you...
