When you enter the CIC website, go to "my application" then to "sign in or create an account". You will have to have a bank account in your name to create one. They will use this as further proof of your identity. Once you create your account, you can link your application to that account...

I agree with Becos, one change like that will definitely add unnecessary delays and doubt to your credibility. If they did not mention it, then you probably shouldn't either.
