Ray of Hope - 72nd Draw

The company I work for is in the Fintech space so being near the financial hubs is desired. East of Canada makes it easy to get to New York where one of the owners is based. London is very closely linked to South Africa so that will be a benefit. Also, I can't speak anything but English so my...

It's neighbourly love... Also, it makes me feel a bit better that your president is slightly more insane than ours. But we both lose to the Orange Terror of the states at least.

.. No, that honestly sounds very weird :) Biltong is a very South African thing, generally made with beef but also with any game meat and the odd people sometimes do it with chicken and bacon. But it's savoury 99.9% of the time.

What kills me about this Canada journey so far. If we'd thought to apply at the beginning of this year we'd have received our ITA and be through the process right now. Would have had 425 points in January so would have been picked on the 12th of April. Just looking how quickly the CRS dropped...

Definitely not a personal question. I'm married with 2 kids and my wife and I lived in London when our eldest was born. We left London to raise her in South Africa as the quality of life here (for the reasonably well off) is unmatched. Large houses, big gardens and cheap food. Also, the family...

I lived in Brisbane Australia for 2 1/2 years. I found the people to be very xenophobic. I'm white and English and I was still shunned. Our Indian friends obviously got it a lot worse and I couldn't imagine how hard it would be for a black family. The cost of living was incredibly high...

I see many people are looking at other options other than Canada right now.. I'm in the same boat. However I've lived in Australia before and didn't enjoy it. Thinking somewhere in Europe now or worst case, England... I have a UK passport so it makes it all easier but I'm not sure I can go...

Sitting at 420 with zero chance today, all I'm excited about is to hopefully see a big jump in ITA's issued. If they are close to 3500 then I know I'll be getting mine soon. If under 3000k I think I'm going to start looking at other countries.
