Yeh, i will do the same thing. Now, i will start gathering stuff. Is "Application Number" and "File Number" same thing? When i try to punch in my Application Number online it doesn't give me any details. But, when i put my UCI number it shows the status. Any clue? Thanks.

Thank you Shaikh. It's indeed a very helpful detail. However, i want to know whether sending the voluntary documents is crucial because some people told me that by sending documents without CIC request, sometimes it can make things confused and complicated. I would appreciate your answer...

Hey guys, Finally, i have received my approval letter in mail. :) :) The file has been transferred to my VO. Now, the VO waiting time starts.. :)

Salaam, I recently got my approval letter as a sponsor. It states that my file has been transferred to Islamabad Visa Office. Now, anyone knows what is next? I mean the upcoming steps? Any guide please? Thanks :)

Guys i still didn't receive any E-mail or a letter from CIC.. Now i highly doubt that the person on phone was saying the truth about my application being approved. cuz i when i put my client ID, it says application received shouldn't it says decision made if its approved? plus no E-mail no...

The guy on the phone said it got approved on June 01, 2012. However, he said we already E-mailed you, but i haven't received any E-mail. Moreover, I don't have any File Number i just have UCI. I am so confused.

I asked them about the FILE NUMBER. And the guy said we don't have it yet. However, he quoted my UCI number and when i login with it, the status says FILE RECEIVED, doesn't it say FILE APPROVED?? Any idea??

This is just ridiculous. My application is also FEB 13 and still no news from CIC. To add further, i called and they disconnected the phone WOW.. isn't this just amazing.. Its a torture..
