ITA- Invitation to Apply? - that will be Express Entry then, not spousal sponsorship. Wrong thread. Also I think when passport is submitted, it goes elsewhere and pickup mail timeline might be different?

Surely that is impossible

Spousal sponsorship is when one spouse who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident sponsors the other spouse who is not. If neither of you are at least permanent resident of Canada, you cannot immigrate by spousal sponsorship.

So if you got AOR in Sep of 2016, I’m guessing you applied in August?

“In queue for review” - well I sure hope they have started doing something with it so that they can get it done within their 12 month timeline! And... if they do get it done in that timeline then clearly it doesn’t actually take them that much time to review (if they haven’t started by now). But...

I was going to say the same - if they are making a refund, does that mean the application is rejected? But doesn’t make sense that they would have already asked for medical if that was the case, and also not make contact with any concerns they have about the application... if they are indeed...
