No, there was no such request to send any additional forms with the photos, beside the photos themselves and the request letter that came in the mail.

That's exactly what my profile shows too. Ottawa received my passport the same day yours was delivered. I don't know if we should expect another update on MyCIC before the tracker will be activated or that's about as far as it goes.

Thanks, and fair enough. But if the person is holder of a passport with no visa requirement for visiting Canada, or has a study/work sticker visa which has not expired yet, boarding a plane should not be an issue.

I am curious about this scenario in light of the long PR card processing time. What do you think would happen if a new permanent resident who doesn't need a visa to enter Canada or has a study/work visa sticker in their passport left Canada and returned by plane not carrying the PR card...

Do you mean that they cancel student and work visas when you land by stamping them or other physically visible ways? I will need to travel outside Canada and if I don't receive my PR card by my date of departure, I will have to use my temporary visa to show at the airport in the other country...
