Actually there are 2 sections of status in ECAS right, one for Sponsor ship application, and other for Permanent Residence . Where do i check the sponsorship status. Will it even show in ECAS or do you have to link the application in the CIC GC portal to see it?

But to be honest i personally know some one who was stayed in India for 14 months and successfully sponsored his wife. He was working the whole time and paying taxes here obviously though. I'm having second thoughts just because my lawyer is telling me to not go.

Guys, I sent my Passport to CPC PR office in Ottawa. Is there any way we can confirm with the PR office to see if they have received the passport? For some reason, the passport that I sent to the PO box has a signature received on it. So a little bit concerned if it was received or not.

I sent mine without filling the Address on it.. Besides its definitely not going to be a huge deal even if you font fill it when its required to.

The photo should have been taken within 6 months from the day you are sending you passport for the PPR.

You can go for Landing as and when you want, as long as you have your passport stamped with the VISA that's required for landing. Because once you do the border crossing, they will apply for you PR Card at the border and your work permit technically becomes Invalid as you've become a permanent...

Holy God. My Application finally turned to Decision Made in ECAS. Any guess max how many days to get PPR? and After sending Passport how many days to Get it back? I need to know this because I need to book an abroad Trip based on the dates.

Technically My file was received on Aug 28th 2015 according to my GCMS notes. I was requested to send a copy of all pages of my Passport and Schedule A again in April 2016. And I checked my ECAS today, still In progress. Man, so many people got DM. I'm just hoping now that nothing is wrong...

I don't know if you guys have noticed this. But these days, when you call CIC regarding the status. If the application has not crossed 16 months of processing, they just tell you to wait till that. And they don't actually tell you where the application is at. Even if you ask them specifically...

One More thing.. if You do get Invite in Express Entry, you can still apply in that stream as well it seems. And that application will not affect this Paper based application. But you will have to again spend about 1200+ dollars for the application fee and stuff. Which ever gets approved, the...
