My background is still "Not applicable". It has remained so since November 27. My AoR date is Nov 4. No response to my emails or CSE to CIO, which is now my Visa office. It was my first VO, then it changed to CPC-Ottawa and back again to CIO. I am an OINP.

Any PNP - I between Nov 01 - 10 '2016, whose Background hasn't yet gone to "In Progress" a second time [= new status of "We are Processing your Background check .... "]) I am still waiting and hence checking. :(

Does anyone have Central Intake Office - CIC, Sydney Nova Scotia as their Visa office? Mine was first CIC (as the case would be for everyone) and the transferred to CPC- Ottawa and now to CIC again. Seems a bit wierd and wanted to check.

andyincanada 04/11/2016 ON 25/11/2016 Background changed from NN - IP (25/11/2016) and IP - NN (27/11/2016). Background has not changed a second time and still waiting for it to! Please change year in the table to 2016 (from 2017).

Its Ottawa per my GCMS notes.

My AOR is Nov 4 ... and Background is "Not Applicable" still ... not change since Nov 27! This waiting game is excruciating! PNP - Inlands are given the rawest of raw deals!

The notes I received in Jan 2017 ... I subsequently contacted CIC for a change in my address ... and was told informed that my VISA office is Ottawa ... which is consistent with what was in the notes.

That is case to case basis ... very difficult to predict.

This is quite normal. In my case, it changed within a day from In Progress to Not Needed. If you see the progress of In Land applicants, this is the usual flow ... Not Started (Or Not Needed) to In Progress and then to Not Needed. When it changes the second time to In Progress, you should start...

Hi Raj, My back ground check changed to - Not Needed at this time (Nov 27). It was - "In Progress".

My medicals are now "Passed" and Background check is "In Progress". Both Nov 25. It has taken 3 weeks to get the medicals to pass.
