osspasha, Thanks. I guess I will just wait patiently for further instructions from CPP-O. As long as the things are moving, it is OK. BTW, are you planning to do the landing at the Alberta/Montana border? Plussa

Hi, Osspasha, Did you receive passport request from CPP-O before you shipped it? And for those that hold passports from visa-exempt countries, what pages of the passport should be coiped and shipped? Thanks, Plussa

    Doubt regarding submission of PCC

I would just get a new PCC from India to avoid delays. I guess you can already get it now from India, as you are already out of the country.

    After "in process" Update

This is very comforting to me.. I am really tired of the waiting, unable to plan anything for the longer term. :( Hopefully I will move to "decision made" status soon.

    After "in process" Update

my status changed to In Process on May 31st, and I got RPRF on Jun 13th. I am a bit worried about the police record also. my out-of-country PCC was from May 2012, and I moved to Canada on work permit in Sep. 2012. Not sure if CIC will ask me to provide a new one that will cover the months...

    No, you don't need it.

Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

Not sure about your third point.. If you hold a passport from a visa-exempt country, it should be enough for any airline. I have visited Canada for business/tourism with European passport, on Finnair, British Airways and KLM, never got a problem.

    AINP Strategic Recruitment Stream

Not sure if you will notice much difference. AINP is usually very fast, if you meet the requirement, you shoudl get approved and nominated in one month or two. My family got it from the employer-driven stream, it took about 3 weeks to process (despite the Christmas).

    PNP Immigration

It is possible to get a job offer and come as temporary foreign worker (TFW), then apply for PNP and permanet residency. It is not going to be easy, especially now that the rules for TFW are tightened. But you never know.. for the province of Manitoba, you can get nominated without a job...

Even if CPP-O is not included in the strike, this will still delay the processing time, as CPP-O probably needs help from the other foreign services units to do certain checks.

Tracking PNP January 2013 applications to CIO Nova Scotia

Really curious how CIC works, it seems that three persons in the thread got this status update on the same day (including me). Maybe they are dedicating some weeks/months on reviewing the applications received and then other weeks on resolving the cases and making final decision. Anyway, it is...
