Those of us with the old ECAS notification system have a not so active ECAS. The ones with online AOR are being updated in a timely fashion. So for us, ECAS doesn't mean anything, just go with the letter in the mail.

I applied in early June, nothing yet. It is weird how CIC is trying to clear applications from both ends. lol I guess early Juners will be the last ones to get test invites. No worries, as long as there is no flood this year!!!! :D

Me too. I applied mid-June last year. I was planning to go home for the summer, haven't gone back for 3 years now and it is uni summer holidays (such a long break), but decided against going, because I don't want to miss the test in any case. Better not take the risk.

I have recently received it. It says, fill the form event if not a citizen. I filled it and mailed it already.

Thanks for the visa stamp translation reminder. Does anyone know if an Indian visa and immigration stamps from India need to be translated? They are printed/stamped in both English and Hindi (their language). Thank you.

Congrats! Is your application a fairly uncomplicated and straight one? Hope your test and interview will be a breeze! My app was received around the same time as yours. I just noticed that my 'received line' has disappeared. Now I am worried….and anxious. lol…does that disappearance mean...

Thank you, everyone! I totally forgot that I had already paid it off. I was freaking out that I would have to pay 400 once they charge my card because I did not remember anything, just went back two months on my CC statement and saw the transaction. ;)

The new rule 4 years out of 6 years hasn't started yet. We don't know when the new rule will become applicable, but for now, the same old, 3 out of 4 years is applied. Go look up Residence Calculator under CIC citizenship application website. Then, just go back 4 years from now and input that...

is the letter very important? Isn't it just an acknowledgement letter that our application is in process now? I am from Calgary, now I just have to wait forever…..haha, I don't know, a year and a half or two. :(

It is all good. My application is in process now. Yours should be okay as long as you did not miss the major questions.

i got my ECAS activated, too! ;D But the only trouble is it says my application was received on June 16, but I know for sure that Purolator delivered my application on the 11th. I have the signature proof. I am puzzled. Is this possible? What do you guys think? Is it just a system/typing...

You don't need to pay again. You already paid 400 bucks! Just attach the fee receipt from last time. In your cover letter, tell them you paid the last time and that your application was returned, make sure you include their return letter or a copy of it.
