June 20 AOR CEC Progress below

I'm June 20th AOR through CEC background check sat on in progress for a couple of weeks and then went to Not Needed at this time. Stayed like that ever since. Ghost email today so maybe PPR next week.

Anyone else's BG check changed from in progress to not needed yet?

Movement on my application yesterday! BG check went from in progress to not needed at this time. Seems bizarre but at least it shows someone is working on my file.

No - I have been working here for over a year, have family here and my partner is Canadian. So pretty much every class but PNP!

It means CIC have started your BG checks and are reviewing your eligibility. BG checks take anything from 1 day to 3 months (1 month appears to be the average). You're at the same stage as me although my BG went to in progress 2 weeks ago.
