Why do you think it will get rejected? I am 9-Nov AOR, with similar status but Security has not started yet. Try calling IRCC to check the exact status as webform response is a generic one. In addition order, GCMS notes too to see what is happening.

Once you get the new passport, raise a webform (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx). Mention that your passport was expiring hence you get it renewed and use the new passport for future correspondence.
