You are correct.! Once you apply for your bridging work permit you get into implied status. And you are allowed to legally work in Canada whilst a decision is made. I am July 4th aor and currently in Ip2 status. 6days until I reach my 6th month mark. Currently on bowp which was approved in 64days.

So i checked my CIC ac and next to my BOWP - Update / profile and then when I saw in there was nothing. and when I refreshed it went back to Submitted. I think that is what happens before there is an actual change we see in our profile.

I am in the same situation. CEC inland applicant AOR july 4th and nothing after medical update. my work permit expires on nov 25th 2018 applied BOWP on sept 21 and till date no update. I have plans to travel to my home country in Jan which looks very difficult now :(
