As per current trends MEP update takes about 7-10days from AOR and on same day or later your Background status changes to 'your application is in progress' which will be IP1.

1. You will never see terms like IP1, NA1 or IP2 etc. It's common notion that if your BG is "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check" then it is IP1 If your BG is "Background check is in process"then it is IP2 In between these two updates...

As per what I've read in other threads, you're in IP2. I think things are moving fast in your case.

It would take around 7-10 days (no.of days for medical in recent times) for Medicals to pass and on same day your Background status changes.

It's better to get a gift deed and affidavit for the funds needed and copy of your bank statement showing that particular transaction of funds and letter of explanation.
