I don't know. I sent them email in December that my medical is expiring in Feb and we are ready to land it before medical expiry. In same email, i asked if you can't issue the visa before medical expiry, extend it. They replied to my email asking for Travel History form but never told me...

I have not done re medical. Medical was done in last February 2017. Medical has 1 year validity but in some cases they can extend it for another 1 year so your medical will be valid for another 1 year.

Just now received the email from CPC-Ottawa that my COPR will be valid till January 2019 that means they extended our medical for another 1 year.

GCMS Note request will not delay the processing time. I requested 2 times in Aug and Oct and received the passport request at same time as others(Who completed medical in Jan and Feb) .

Did you request GCMS Notes recently? If yes, then because of it. I got same message when i requested it and it was there till i received pre-arrival letter.

Finally received passport request today evening without re-medical. I am going to send passport tomorrow morning. My medical is expiring on 13th Feb. Hopes I will receive the passport with visa before that. E-cas still shows In Process and MyCIC also same.

I am in weird situation. Our medical is expiring on 13 Feb 2018. We received pre-arrival letter on 22 Dec 2017. Day before that my medical status changed from "medical passed" to "If you need a medical exam, a message with instructions will be sent to you.". Today again my medical status changed...
