Then all I can say is that your case was one of the unlucky ones and I have no explanation for it. Luckily these cases are in the minority but I do feel quite sad that these things do happen. This is one reason why I put up the stats so that people can see what is normal and what isn't so they...

Yeah last step. My wife just got called for an interview - May 2nd. Hopefully, she will be here by the end of May. I find it ironic that the average for quick processes is 69 days and May 2nd is day 69 of the file in Delhi. DrDave

I agree with nylalisa. The process is stressful and doesn't make sense at times. Luck may play a part in some cases, but this is the minority. There is a process that is followed. It is not random as you may suggest. Delhi does make mistakes that result in delays, but so do us. ie missing forms...

My feeling is that Delhi immediately gets the file and does an intial screening. The ones that they feel is quick, will get a passport request right away. 75% of the people. The other 25% seem to have a long process and I have no idea what factors these might entail, but they do take about 5...

@batman If its for a single child they will make it a priority. Still it will take some time. More likely the first date then. That's assuming there are no complications. DrDave Yeah I'm at day 51.

    Thread for January 2011 Applicants

I worked out some statistics and posted them here and on the New Delhi thread as well. Usually 50 to 90 days after the sponsor approval date. PS Delhi is fast compared to other countries where it might take a year or more. Abu Dhabi is 27 months. AOR date ? Feb 19 + 50 days = April 10th...

If Sponsor Approval on 2/25/2011 early April 16, 2011 50 days late May 26, 2011 90 days sounds like there are multiple people on this application, so I would not be surprised if it ends up being closer to May 26. Not to far off in the big picture. DrDave

I've been waiting 50 days now, since Feb 22,2011. No call for an interview, it could all be over in about 30 days. Get called for an interview -- crap -- its going to take a little longer. Praying for a visa in the next 30 days. But it starting to feel like Christmas, it just around the...

@fprince and @charmz The one thing I did notice once you get a PPR the whole process will be finished in 2-3 weeks. Once you guys get it, it will be over very soon. It should be coming soon.

Nope. but its Day 49 of being in Delhi. Still says application received. But ecas is never really updated that often anyways. But at least anything can happen in the next month. In my study 20% of the people got it done in the 50-65 day period. At least now, I should have a reasonable chance of...
