I did. I emailed on Oct 8, and assumed I received that kind of response due to IRCC not updating that auto-reply with the change in policy for extended family members.

Applied on the evening of Oct 8th (EST) with the "original" form. No response yet neither.

Still waiting. Submitted all documents over 2 months ago, so it may still be a while until I know more.

Ah that's annoying. Yeah seems like that couldn't hurt. I think I may have read elsewhere on these forums of people having a similar issue, and it ended up not impacting their application at all. But it can't hurt to inquire.

So I completed my biometrics today and can see it updated in my webportal on IRCC. It's now, likely, just a long wait from this point right? No more major indicative updates I'll see?

Update on this - I actually did receive an Updated Application Status email about 12 hours after I first noticed the change on the website.

I checked my account this morning and passed my medicals (today, woohoo!). I have not received an email as of yet.

Does anyone have a general idea for when things start "moving" after receiving AOR? I wouldn't be surprised if COVID-19 has thrown historical patterns out of the window. My understanding is one of the first signs is seeing the Medical section convert into "being reviewed".
