FINALLY! BGC has started! The main page says: Application/profile updated Once I click on the application, the background check has updated from "Not Applicable" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

When did you apply? I applied on December 21.

Anyone else also waiting for their BGC to start? I feel like I'm the only one left. :(

Congrats! When was your application initially received?

Oh I mean principal applicant. Once the principal applicant gets his/her background check approved, he/she will also receive decision made on his/her side. You may never even get a notification about it. You may just end up getting a landing letter, which is the interview date to get your PR. :)

It all means that once your partner gets his/her background check approved, you will be scheduled for a landing interview and get your PR! Congratulations :)

Hi there, actually this is an inland application, so we sent our documents to Mississauga CPO. I'm assuming based on what you said that on March 30, 2019, they forward our application to a visa office somewhere in Canada to process our file.

Hey, same boat here. It sucks because my husband (PA) got his hopes up to start full time school in September when we started seeing how fast applications were being processed. I hope things work out asap for all of us.

Yes it is normal. They're not consistent most of the time since it's up to the discretion of the individual officer to put updates on either or both websites.

There is usually a fee, and in addition to ID, in Ontario you also need to bring any two witnesses.
