I thought that even if the spouse is currently on a visitor record, the primary applicant can apply for the bowp and also include an open work permit application for the spouse with the same bowp request.

Hi all, I am getting into the passport waiting boat now, my passport reached Ottawa on June 9th. Expecting it back latest by June last week. Hope they don't delay it beyond that or else things will get messed up real bad. :-X

Even I got a response after 5 to 6 days for my first mail, but I had sent a followup query to which they responded on the same day. So it is not consistent, sometimes they might choose not to respond at all. Could be based on the processing center also but not sure about that. I would say there...

Thanks! I see your application received date is 1st Oct 2013 which is a few weeks earlier than mine. Going by that, I think your ppr should come before 19th. Hope it comes next week, all the best!

Congrats! I believe you should get the ppr anytime now. For me it is the other way around. I got my PPR but application status is still "In process". Not sure how they update the status ::)

Hi Folks, As I said, something had to happen on Friday, and it did. Got my ppr today, actually yesterday close to midnight. Sent the passports to Ottawa today. Into the last round of waiting hopefully. I am sure ppr is around the corner for others and this waiting will come to an end soon. cheers!!

Been checking that for several days now, looks like there is some delay in their medical results review process.

They ask for it before medicals. But don't wait for them to ask or else it will be another 1 month delay in the process. As xymonkeant said, send it now itself.
