Hey there,
Here's a quick update. I received my oath invitation from the Vancouver Office on January 4. Oath date is January 24. Application status is still "in process" so no Decision Made for me yet. Is this normal?
Thanks!
edit: Old tracker shows DM but no date. So I'm guessing the date is...
Is it normal to receive the oath invitation before Decision Made? My application status is still in progress but already received an invitation for the oath.
Thank you.
Second. I still want the citizenship, but I want my money back for the delay. I know it's a bad example, but think of it like paying for a service that hasn't been received on time. So I want to ask for a refund.
Hi all,
Vancouver applicant here. It's been almost 2 years since I mailed my application to IRCC. Passed the test in August and my application status has been showing in process since the beginning of September. I finally realized Covid was just an excuse to slow things down for the Vancouver...

Hello everyone,
I live in Canada and I sent my Citizenship application in March 2020. Just a couple days ago my wife gave me some great news that she is pregnant. Considering the processing time of the Citizenship applications is 1 year, the baby will be born before a decision is made on my...
Mine expires on my birthday in 2018 as well.
I think what happens is, if you applied for the card and got it before your PR was approved, they just let it expire on your birthday in the year they initially set it to expire even after you become a PR. And then you'll get a new one which will be...
Are you already enrolled in MSP? If you are, use this form to change your status, put a sticky note on it saying you are already enrolled and you just want to update your status. If you're under your spouse's MSP account, he/she needs to fill it out and you both sign it. Don't forget to send a...
Dear approved Permanent Residents of Canada,
If you think there has been less excitement in life after your PR is approved, you can actually link your PR Card application to MyCIC to continue where you left off! Lol ;)
That's very interesting. Do they contact countries that I visited before as a tourist? I don't remember declaring anywhere the list of countries I visited before.
I don't get it. If somehow he proves that it was marriage fraud after 8 years and she gets kicked out of Canada, he probably will never be able to see his child again. Or let's say he has the custody of the child, then she won't ever see the child again. Is this really healthy for the kid? Just...

Hi,
Landed at the Hornby office today. I can't say it is crazy busy, considering my landing appointment was only 4 business days after I got DM. There were around 10 people in front of us. But it went pretty smoothly. I think we waited for 25 mins until our names got called and then the...
