Losing hope now, I was planning for may intake/september..

Is Canada closing its borders to international students? Would students on the DLI list be able to travel for May/September intake?

I hope it doesn't affect anyone. Students should be exempt if their institution is on the DLI list.

I don't think you got rejected due to backlogs. People with 15+ backlogs even get accepted. I would go for a Phd because doing a diploma after a masters is not going to help you in any way. The VO knows it's just a way to get into Canada.

Why are you going for a diploma after having a masters? You will most probably get rejected for that reason alone.. also after doing some research on these forums I learnt that you need to explain why you got backlogs and also attach a backlog letter showing you cleared them.

I'm applying with a similar profile. What colleges have you applied to? What is your IELTS Score?

Also, would recommendation letters from teachers in my university help in any way whatsoever while filing for a study permit?

The cut-off for CRS was 454 on Jan 21. So he definitely has a chance?

On my backlog certificate the absentees are counted as backlogs. Also to make it clearer.. 2016 Sem 1: 10 absentees (With marksheet. Lost it, but was able to apply for a duplicate marksheet from the university.) 2016 Sem 2: Didn't attend or enrol myself (No marksheet) -----> Only marksheet...

Only thing that worries me, is my backlogs (10) and the fact I completed a 3 year course in 4 years. Everything else is strong, IELTS etc..
