Is it ok to inform the immigration officer that we are staying in a hotel instead of a friend/ relative's house at the time of soft landing? (if asked). I have heard of cases where they do not process the PR card if they think we are not going to be at the address provided for the same.

Hi, I have received my CoPR through Express Entry. My province shown in the letter is Ottawa. I plan to do a soft landing where I am travelling from India to Montreal and have a connecting flight to New York (same day). Is that OK to complete the landing formalities? Or I need to enter Canada...

I do have a US Visa. So was thinking of getting the formalities done through Peace Bridge. Just dont know anyone who has done it yet. I plan to enter canada and leave the same day if possible
