Just to share who may have similar situation like me. My spouse received MSP health card today. Currently, our ECas states only "Application received on Nov. 2011". It's frustrating (sent and resent application/documents 5 times, called them 4-5 times, all together took me 6 months), but...

chufamily, when you got your MSP care card in BC before stage 1, is your wife in implied status? and your Ecas is "Application in process" already?

I used to live in Montreal, and I moved to BC two years ago. I wish health card is a simple as in Quebec. My wife has a working holiday VISA before, but it's expired already. I've sent in open working permit application with the spouse sponsorship application together (cic agent told to do so)...

Just to give an idea for those who are waiting like me: Currently my ecas is "We received your application for permanent residence on November 2, 2011." I've sent additional documents in Feb. 2012. As of today, nothing else has been updated since then. So I guess I have to wait til end of Sep...

Please post here what you find about the MSP detail. I would like to know if reduced MSP is considered as social assistance.

Thank you Parker24. I guess I just have to check my status later then. For the abbreviation, I guess AIR should be AIP which stands for Application in Process.

Parker 24: I understand that it takes 11 months during first stage. However, I found my status haven't been changed for more than 6 months is not normal. What I means is I expect at least the status will change to "Application in process", "Additional application form received", etc...
