We did get the CBSA report and ensured that there were no discrepancies. Just to be safe, my husband applied with a buffer of 200 days.

Just checked. It seems pretty thorough. Background verification completed on 27th April. Last updated on 28th April. Language skills/Physical presence/Prohibitions in progress. Citizenship test/citizenship ceremony not started.

I know that the OCI has to be renewed after age 50. Should it be renewed as soon as you turn 50 even if your passport is valid for a few more years or can you wait to renew it until it’s time to renew the passport as well? Can anybody shed some light on this? Thanks!

I was told by the Canada Post employee that signatures were not being obtained anymore so I couldn’t opt for that. With the tracking number, I could verify that it was delivered a few days later though. This was in January, of course.

Considering my husband's extensive travel and the multiple indecipherable stamps on his passports, he got his CBSA record and double checked the travel data. Is there any reason, based on your individual applications, for this? Something that differentiates your wife's application from yours maybe. My husband's residency calculator runs to 5 pages. Wonder if extensive travel could be a trigger, for example.

I don’t think he’s an online applicant based on his timeline. Application sent and delivered dates are different.
