Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

They're talking about eliminating even the $630 fee. I hope they're joking unless they're looking for ways to choke the system further. They could instead give out the $630 for only those who can't afford. If they go through with this, whatever they're allocating for IRCC in their annual budget...

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

They can easily fix this with a Premium Processing option. They can charge something like $1000 or $1500 extra and provide a 60 or a 90 day guarantee. They can lay out a set of conditions to qualify for premium processing. They can keep the current setup and staff for processing regular...

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

" I suggest that before spending great gobs of money, that you take a look at the Federal Court decisions re: Mandamus and Citizenship http://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/site/fc-cf/en/nav.do Search on "Mandamus" "Citizenship" " - @PMM From here...

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

It's a possibility. None of us know exactly what's going on inside IRCC offices. If you've been around, you know the bureaucracy can get a little protectionist here. And secrets can stay much longer in such environments. (I was, in fact surprised to see only Canadian persons can file ATIP...

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

It's possible but not sure if they would go that far. It'll basically become a prison system and (I hope) they know it's not good. Its like Neflix saying "you know what we need to do to keep people from canceling accounts? Force them into a 12 month or a 24 month plan". It'll be a disaster. The...

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

Agree with I wouldn't say anything about protesting. I'd just make sure I'll keep writing to all involved on a regular basis and make sure they understand I won't go away without an update. At some point, they have to give in. I also agree with cobie. You have to fight for yourself...

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

You can also take a different approach: If your job/personal situation allows, you can move to a different location that triggers an application transfer. Obviously this is a gamble. Also I think they have some rules on what triggers transfers (such as no transfers within GTA etc).

Can we orchestrate a mass complaint filing to CIC for disgraceful limbo?

I'm not sure if IRCC would systematically retaliate as an organization but there is usually that 5% or so folks in any organization that take things very personally. If you put your name in an official protest such as an email to the Immigration minister, I don't think they'll retaliate. If it's...

    Citizenship Certificate and Passport questions

If you cant find one, you need to find two more references (total four) along with a self declaration signed in front of a notary/a commissioner of oaths (not expensive in Canada, usually under 30 bucks in my area if you google commisioner of oaths). Just another silly hurdle created to please...

Has anyone ordered Gcms notes recently?

I'm not sure about ATIP specifically but in general immigration context, given names always include everything except the surname (so, First Name + all middle names). This is usually the case in passport/travel records etc. As long as you provide other identifiers like Date of Birth, Client ID...

    Calgary applications

Based on the updates on the forum and the spreadsheets, it appears IRCC hasn't come up with a real mechanism to process applications. There's no indication they're following first come, first served or shortest job first or anything like that, it seems all over the place. There appears to be no...

Passed the Citizenship test then realize I miscalculate the physical presence

This is the official definition of absence. Any day you are not absent is considered present: Absences will be calculated only for days where an applicant spent no time at all in Canada. Dates where an applicant left Canada, or returned to Canada will not be counted as an absence since the...

Citizenship | FBI Identity History Summary Checks - Processing Times + Open Questions

I have no personal experience but it would seem like the validity is determined based on either 6 months or last entry. I've started looking into these for my upcoming application (not imminent). (i) If I were you I'd submit the request asap if you're planning to file your citizenship app in...
