But with that letter he can apply for a new SIN and for the province healthcare plan, thus it's still a good thing to have it. In my case I need just this letter to get a new SIN because my current WP will expire in July. With the new SIN, I will not be on a hurry to get the PR card.

I haven't seen any news for people in our situation in the last few days (people who received the passport back and CoPR letter via mail). It seems like the best situation is for those who received the CoPR via email because they also got their PR approval/ landing via email later...

I am in the same boat. Received the CoPR letter and passport last week (May 22) and no idea what I should do. I submitted a webform and got that generic response asking to wait. However, I have seen a lot of people in other threads getting their PR approval via phone or even email.

What's not clear at this point is if IRCC is contacting us from their initiative to proceed with the landing (via phone, mail, or email) or if we need to contact them to do so.

They just replied the form request that I sent last Friday with that same generic response and no directions about how I can proceed to confirm my landing - I am PNP inland applicant and received my CoPR last Friday. I have no idea how to approve my CoPR now.

AOR september 2019, PPR on March 13, Passport delivered in Ottawa on March 17, Application approved on May 12, and Passport and CoPR received on May 22.
