Did you apply through the new portal? Aside from the Identity proof, all I had to show was proof of income. Showing 15k CAD is more than enough so not too sure why that was said.

I submitted her passport, immigration proof (UAE ID), Rep Form and proof of income since I will be taking full care of her financially. Proof of income (Employment letter, Paystubs, Bank statement and Letter just to explain further)

My wife submitted her passport yesterday to Dubai office and they told her it will take 2-3 weeks.

The new system seems to be working fast. I received PPR letter today, around 9 days after BVL. InshaAllah everyone waiting will receive it soon

Received PPR letter today, July 27. Took a bit over a week after BVL. Hope all those waiting for it receive it soon as well.

For my application I gave them 4 months bank statement, employment letter, pay stubs and paid student loans. I don't think there is a certain amount, i think they just want to see you are financially stable and are able to provide the basic needs for your spouse.

Most people seem to be getting BVL/PPR on the same day. It also says for me final decision. I will update you if anything changes.
