It happened in my case as well. They usually send you a confirmation via email but they usually do this after a long time (mine was sent 8 weeks after I sent the police certificate). It also shows up on your GCkey account that they have received the information you sent

Basically means that the assigned VO received the application and they started processing it. Not all offices send this though

it depends on if they logged in your application to the system; You will be using the UCI (not application number) to login here along with birthdate and country of birth (as mentioned in your application) so you can give it a try and see if it works.

You can potentially use his UCI on this system https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=ecas ; just put Client ID/UCI for the identification type and then his UCI number.

Yes exactly so all I am saying is if you renew past the expiry date of your PR, even if it is your first time, they look 5 years back from the day you submitted; not the day you landed

I think I saw somewhere that this doesn't apply anymore. It is always 5 years back from the day you submit the application (Given you can apply for renewal after you card expires)

For my case, it took around 40 days to get any other updates. I think they send the med and bio once they are done or close to finishing the SA

Based on my own experience, and the applications tracker it is usually sent right before or directly after the sponsor approval

Yeah don't worry, I checked the tracker and it seems like a lot of the time it is happening in sequence, so hopefully you should get something in the next week or so
