Just my 2 cents: I would wait for Landing Interview as there are two things you put at risk: missing landing date, and there is always little chance they may not let you back in Canada with AIP only.

And in my case doctor sent it by herself I just attached a copy that I underwent the medical examination. And yes it is valid for a year (some say even 15 months), so you can book it today! The sooner the better in this case!

I would suggest you do your medical asap, so when the time comes for your application being processed CIC has your medical. I am sure they will ask for it at some point and it will delay your application. Sometimes they give two stages at once and this can stop them from doing so. Hope it helps.

Very true. With a person whose application was sent a day earlier than my and an AIP more than a week ago, I start to think I am in trouble. So scared!!! But when I see people who have no answer since May I also think they don't work over there!!!

I am afraid noone knows how long it takes for a local office to process the file. I believe they treat every file differently. You may call and ask them, or post it in 2010 thread. I hope your file will be processed faster than you think! Good luck

As far as I could understand your file has been transferred to your local office for further assessment. Now it depends on Edmonton immigration office to what they do with your application, they can issue you AIP or ask for an interview. Usually the files are transferred because immigration is...

I hear you! And I understand what a pain it is, despite the fact that I am just waiting for 10+ months. I can't understand why CIC is working like in convulsions - one week lots of action and then four, five weeks of total silence. Web site is not a real reflection of what is going on and agents...
