My first experience with Montreal office was for my Express Entry PR application. It took around 1 freaking year to finalize (in 2018-2019), while others were getting PR within a couple of months. They did not even request any additional documents or anything that would cause delays. I just had...
Sorry if I freaked you out or anything, I’ve honestly never heard of IRCC checking an applicant’s LinkedIn. Like maybe this isn’t even related to your citizenship application. Anyway if they have any doubts they’ll ask for an interview or to send them proof by email or something, but you...
Wow I thought IRCC would have linkedin premium and view people's profiles anonymously lol. I don't think it should be an issue. If your profile picture matches the picture you submitted, and your education and work experience match as well, then there's nothing to worry about. I'm sure not...
Anybody else has the "waiting on you" message with "Send us additional information" stuck? I sent the info request (address confirmation) like 2 months on the same day that they requested it, called IRCC and checked if it was received and they said yes, I took my citizenship test and it...
I got an update this morning as well, just that my test is complete. My window was August 26 - September 15, and I took it on August 26.
Language Skills, Prohibition, Physical Presence still in progress.
It does, thank you! I was asking cause I did not get a chance to bring my suit n tie with me from my home country when I came to Canada, so the oath ceremony being virtual helps lol. I should buy a suit soon anyway. I’m at that age where everyone I know is getting married.
I reported my address change through web form a couple of months before receiving AOR, and noticed that the AOR still had my old address. So I called them and checked, turns out they added my new address, but my “current” address was still set to my old one. So I asked the agent to remove the...
I took my test on Friday Aug 26 at 12 AM (as soon as I was able to, just to get it over with), still no updates. I guess that's normal, since they have to verify our test performance and review the photos taken no?
My tracker is showing that a test needs to be taken on August 26 too, but I didn't receive an email yet. Did you? And did it mention an interview, or you're assuming?
I'd like to point out that 3 of us with same AOR Feb 2 applied online got test invite on the same day this week. It's obvious...
Submitted online: Nov. 9, 2021
AOR: February 2, 2022
Background complete: July 22, 2022
Test invite: July 25, 2022 (test should be taken between August 26 and September 15)
Hopefully my application will be finalized by the end of the year
I received a test invite this morning, between August 26, 2022 and September 15, 2022. Applied Nov 9 online and AoR Feb 2. Still waiting for the invitation email though (only showing on tracker)
To applicants who were asked for additional documents to send to IRCC.ClientInformation-InformationsClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca, did you get a follow up email after sending the docs? and how long till the tracker updated? Thank you
Background verification updated to Completed today. The July 19 additional information email was about address history. Still waiting for test invite.
Applied online, Nov 9 and AOR Feb 2
I did order GCMS a couple of months ago and it had my old address on file. So I called IRCC in June and fixed it, yet they still sent me an email today with inaccurate address info. But yes I agree, at least something is moving. And no, no ghost update or anything on my file.
Received an "Address History" email from IRCC this morning, asking for proof of address change and date the change became effective. They had the wrong date on record for some reason, claiming I changed my address on January 25th this year. I have no idea where they got that date from.
This is...
