Simply means it’s not in process yet but they have accepted your documents and confirmed that you’re eligible to apply. They will now forward your file to your local processing office and once the file is opened by the processing agent your e-cas should be updated to IP.

    Need Urgent help pls

    1. Work Permit is a status, regardless of dates of renewals. That’s why you could continue working while waiting for the renewal. Therefore, you just need the start date and the end date (the day you landed as PR) 2. If you type “9C” on this board, you would find tons of threads. Here is the...

    Photo Specifications

It depends on the agent. Some are lenient based on the situation and others are very thorough. When it comes to photo specifications, many people got their applications returned if there was no studio stamp with dates and studio name. I’m not too sure about those who didn’t print their names...

Benefits and drawbacks of Canadian Citizenship

Number one benefit to move to Canada (based on your stage of life) is healthcare. People go bankrupt in the US everyday for this reason.

    Citizenship physical presence issue

There are serious ambiguities in regards to counting the days as visitor towards physical presence. Most people assume that just because you had a visitor’s visa and stayed for months at a time you can simply count those days spent in Canada. While visitors are considered as Temporary Resident...

small issues in your Citizenship Application

You better believe that some of those people had their applications returned or got RQs, but they’re too embarrassed to come back and admit that they were wrong. I missed quite a few entries which the agent made me aware of during my short interview. However, he quickly dismissed it saying...

It’s most likely delivered. No, there’s no way to check if they received your application before AOR. That’s what AOR is in part.

Yes, you can. Show up with your proof of planned travel and talk the clerks before and after the ceremony. Take the oath. Once, your E-cas shows as “complete” (within 24 hours), run to the nearest Passport Canada office (DO NOT go to Service Canada) with your required documents and your proof of...

I’m not sure what subject matter you’re referring to, but my post has nothing to do with the reasons why and when people should apply for citizenship. It’s rather based on the original post.

Dual citizen traveling from Canada to Pakistan and back

I’m not sure what you’re saying, but what I meant was that no matter what passport they used to enter the country, once they contact a Canadian embassy for help in a time of crisis, they (the embassy) would help depending on local laws. Sometimes, if they don’t have a diplomatic mission on the...

Dual citizen traveling from Canada to Pakistan and back

It depends on the local laws and the issue at hand. In some emergencies like natural disasters Canadian embassies will help (in most countries) get dual Canadian citizens out. I have seen it firsthand in couple overseas missions.

    Fingerprint

Background/security checks and test can run concurrently or independent of each other.... this saves a lot of time. This maybe part of the reason why citizenship application processing times are greatly reduced.
