FYI, once your application crosses the normal processing time, they will switch to the next excuse: your application is non routine and standard processing time doesn’t apply

For applicants with only prohibition pending for over a month, I believe they are referred to some other agency, maybe csis, for some sort of clearance or renewal of clearance. Doesn’t make sense for officer to sit on application that’s almost oath ready for no reason. But again ircc is an...

I have a partially completed LPP on May 9th (prohibitions pending). No oath in sight. I’m guessing (or sort of hoping) that prohibitions and oath invite will be done at same time.

Congrats!! IRCC keeps surprising me. Your LPP was completed before your knowledge test and background check! do these people have operating manuals to follow or is it haywire over there?

They are busy profiling applicants based on name or country of birth rather than treating all applications fairly. It took me 8 months to clear my background check, security part in particular. Now I’m going through the same scrutiny with prohibitions. Feels like we are being treated like...

Call client support, they will tell you whether virtual or in person ceremony.

Hey everyone just received my GCMS notes, and under section “Location” it says “e-grant pending docs”. Any idea what that means? I haven’t received request for addition docs! language and physical presence completed early May. Waiting on prohibitions to turn green. Thanks!!

Security section will always be blanked out even after you pass security

Means your application is in queue to be reviewed by Program Manager level 1. This might be an indication that your application is straight forward, hence PM01

lets try to crackdown the mystery behind delayed prohibitions. Was your file recently transferred from one office to another? Maybe this is the reason for delay. Waiting for physical file to arrive?

Welcome to the group! October 2021 applicant here with prohibitions in progress. Language and physical presence completed back in May. I tried to look for information on what additional verifications that goes into prohibitions that wasn’t already covered under background check. No luck!

Same here, language and physical presence completed on may 5th, prohibition still in progress. trying to figure out why prohibition wasn’t processed along with other two. Is your background check about to expire? Maybe rcmp security was done nearly a year ago?

2020 and 2021 applicants are the most unfortunate group when it comes to reasonable processing time. We got caught up in the pandemic saga, and then were forgotten when life got back to normal!

There seems to be a trend lately not to process all LLP at once but rather take them one or two at a time. Not sure if there is a legitimate reason behind it. At this point there is nothing to do but to wait wait and then wait a little bit more : (

None of above applies to me, yet my application is now “presumably” non-routine. I guess once one’s application crosses the normal processing time, the office has less incentive to prioritise over the ones that are still within the range. At the end of the day, their KPIs is what matters! Sad

Dont get your hopes up. I called IRCC today to follow up and tell them that my application has now exceeded the 19 mo processing time. They responded that my application is non-routine, hence normal processing time doesn’t apply! You can’t win with IRCC
