im afraid not everyone is pretty case specific and depends on the officer you get. They are supposed to wrap things up inside of 12 months but you might be done in 8 or you might be done in 13 after the medical its a guesstimate game unfortunately

I understand the need for the guidelines to be precise but i honestly think its deliberate to prevent people on work permits from getting healthcare coverage. I had to argue with them to get them to accept it. mine is also up until my work permit ends which is nov 2019.
