We had the same thing happen and I asked why they didn't stamp the passport, and the officer said that a trip to the US does not extend stay in Canada. Their stay continues as per original stamp. I was told that my mom would have to travel somewhere else and return to have her passport stamped...

I'm curious as to how is it that some people's Sponsorship and PR application go "in process" at the same time, while others are first in process with Sponsorship application, then after approved, the PR application goes to in process? Anyone knows?

when an application goes to "in-process" in ecas, when or with what does MyCIC get updated?

Finally after seeing so many people who sent their application in after mine go to in-process, my ecas now shows "in-process" for both sponsorship and PR application effective October 17. I don't see any update on MYCIC though, so not sure if this is normal? @YULIA-2016 @robertp please update...

Yes, I was finally able to access Ecas yesterday and also linked MYCIC without a file number. I just used PA passport info and UCI. Some people for some reason were not able to link before receiving AOR, but it's worth a try.
