Sponsoring dependant children when sponsor is outside Canada

Yes. I will sponsor them right away as soon as we land in Canada. Since they will be in high school I don't think international student fees apply, until they get to college. They have no health issues. I don't mind buying private insurance until they become PR. But I was trying to see if...

Sponsoring dependant children when sponsor is outside Canada

Since the kids are below and will still be in high school, I don't believe they have to pay international student fees until they get to college. Once I apply and get their PR, they should be fine I guess

Thanks for the reply. We did mention them on the application, but the application was for my spouse. The kids did go through medical tests as well along with my spouse. I had assumed that time that our kids don't need to apply for PR as they are US citizens, but now we realize we have to. Can I...

Thanks for the reply. I got my PR in Jun 2023 and it's valid until Jun 2028. Can I apply for their study permit instead and then they become eligible for healthcare? We can then apply for their PR once we enter Canada.

So considering landing date of Jun 2020, if we plan to enter in Apr 2025, will it still be an issue. Unfortunately we cant enter before April as my daughter has...

Though my PR was issued in June 2020, my PR card expiration date is Jan 2026. I was considering moving to Canada in June 2025 and complete the remaining 5 months before my PR card expires. Won't that work?
