i suggest you walk in the MP office and tell them what happens to you case. the assistant will let you fill an info form and ask you for a UCI.

Even it's a technical error, at least the May applicant should have 50% chance to believe it's not an error for them. It's more than one year waiting already. Time for us to get the MR.

Is having a local MP to contact CIC useful to know what's going on inside the system?

May 27 application received, no MR yet. Does cic put our paper-based cases aside or process a background check for such a long time?
