I don't think security is the same as criminality. I think security is more about checking to see if you have any suspicious travel or conections to known criminals or terrorists in the past or currently that cause them to think you could be a danger to Canada.

So the only thing different for you is that you will also need the eTA. An eTA is not a complicated thing to get. My bf looked into it and it is similar to ESTA that is needed for some people to go the USA.

The doctor told my bf that he would contact him before even sending medical to CIC if there was any concerns. I think doctors are obligated to contact you if there is an issue, after all by performing the exam and taking your money the have established a doctor - patient relationship with you.

Unfortunately if there is a restrictions on your employment indicated on your PNP certificate then you are not eligible for a BOWP. You are only eligible for the employer specific (or closed WP).
